About the Club
Coalville Town Youth Football Club has grown to become one of the largest and most well respected football club within Leicestershire. Since forming with a handful of teams in the early 2000’s The club shares its name and facilities with Coalville Town Mens Senior team but is run as a separate entity. The club serves the whole of the Coalville district and beyond. The Club provides footballing activities for over 550 individuals from the age of 3 up to 23 years old. In addition over 100 volunteers help to run the teams and manage the club
Membership
Coalville Town Youth Football Club currently has just over 550 playing members split roughly 40% girls and 60% boys. The players range from the age of 3 who attend our Saturday morning soccer school through to our under 23 sides. We are the largest club in North West Leicestershire and one of the largest in Leicestershire. Our club attracts players predominantly from the Coalville urban area but also throughout North West Leicestershire and beyond. As our local community continues to grow so does the number of members each year. For the 2021/22 season we expect over 600 playing members in our club.
Management
Our club is run by a team of volunteers. The Management Committee overseas the general running of the club whilst a team of Managers and Coaches each run a team. All teams are required to have at least a lead coach/manager and an assistant coach. Each volunteer is subject to an Enhanced CRC check and Child Safeguarding certifications. As each of of members continue to grow with the club we also promote the development of all our coaches encouraging them to progress through the FA’s training qualifications.
Facilities
The club is primarily based at the Owen Street ground that hosts the Coalville Town Mens Senior Team. In addition to Owen Street the Club also plays many of their matches at Newbridge High School’s 3G pitch and the Scotlands Playing Fields in Coalville. Throughout the winter we also hire venues to allow floodlit training on all weather pitches at Newbridge, Hermitage Leisure Centre and King Edward VII school.
